WEPCO Prepares Linking Two Wells Worth $12 MM

Ibrahim Massoud, Chairman and Managing Director Western Desert Operating Petroleum Company (WEPCO), has visited the site of Badr-1 to follow up on the drilling operations and maintenance to link two developmental wells to the production line at a cost of $12 million, according to a press release issued by official Facebook page of WEPCO.

The chairman inspected the implementation phases of the crude oil warehouse no.5 with q capacity of 12,000 barrels to expand the storage capacity of Badr-1 site. He also followed up on the precautionary procedures taken to combat coronavirus.

Additionally, he met health, safety and environment (HSE) officials to stress on the importance of HSE during drilling operations to keep the people and assets safe. Massoud visited the production station to look at the phases of installation and implementation of natural gas compressors in addition to the project of updating fire fighting system.

Massoud concluded his visit confirming the rights of employees to obtain their dues according to the petroleum ministry’s instructions and asked them to exert maximum efforts in their work.
